2025 - it’s great to be back

It's great to be back in the swing of things for 2025. I had a great morning sharing space with the second-year ECE students of the University of Canterbury. Helping them to look at the different communities they will be a part of. Understanding that communication and being amazing listeners helps when serving our children and their families. Because our children matter, everything becomes relevant. I look forward to what the future holds for these awesome ECE teachers.

The day only got better, spending time with my good friends, the Seaside Seniors Group of New Brighton. It's been three years since I last shared space with them. I love their deep interest in our community and how they can help. They run a lunch every Thursday where they serve people from all walks of life. So inspiring! Plus, I got to have afternoon tea with them, which was the cherry on top for me.
