tautua 2025

We were excited this week to launch TAUTUA 2025 after its successful launch last year. Our TAUTUA programme is about looking at our police organisation through an Indigenous lens in how we value our cultural makeup. Our year 13 students are of Māori, Pasifika, and Ethnic heritage.

They get to hear from Indigenous staff from our organisation, both sworn and non-sworn, who share about our police values and how they align with our cultural values.

We are excited to have Shirley Boys High School (SBHS) partner with us again. They are an awesome group of young men who are very inquisitive and very proud of their culture.

Huge acknowledgement to my good friends Stefanie (Stef) Yee from Comm's Central and MPES Constable Fa'atonu (Tonu) Tauamiti for joining me again on this adventure.

I'm looking forward to our next session, and hopefully, my body has recovered from the physical training run.
